Meet the Team... The Calcot Park Junior Golf Academy is extremely proud of its coaching team. Led by Head Professional, Mark Grieve, the Team also includes County Player, Elspeth Cooper, and Calcot Park Golf Club's Junior Organisers, John & Gwyneth Meikle. All are qualified coaches and hold all of the necessary documentation to enable them to work with children and young adults. |

Mark has worked with many fine players and two of his best pupils were Yasin Ali and Mathew Richardson. While at Pinner Hill Golf Club, in Middlesex, Mark coached both of these players for over five years. Mathew played in the Walker Cup which is the Ryder Cup amateur equivalent and Yasin played for the Men's England Team. Both of these players have held European Tour Cards. Mark was the Middlesex Lead Coach for the Under-18 County Team for 14 years and now coaches the Berkshire Girls. Mark is always developing his knowledge through the PGA attending Butch Harmon's Clinic, Harold Swash putting plus Clive Woodward's Olympic Model, and many more. HONOURS Millfield School – Full scholarship for rugby (tight head prop) and golf. The youngest Scratch Men's Club Champion in Britain at the age of 13 at Bigbury Golf Club. Held full Men's County honours at the age of 13 for Devon. Captain of the England Boys’ Team 1981 and 1982. Won the British Boys’ Championship 1982 beating Jesper Parnevik in quarter final. No. 1 England under-18 player in 1982. As a Professional, Mark qualified for two European Tour Events: the Benson and Hedges at Fulford and The Lawrence Batley at the Belfry at the age of just 19. Mark won many PGA Events and broke many course records as a Professional and narrowly missed his Tour Card on four occasions at the La Manga Club, in Spain. He won the Henry Cooper Pro Individual Tournament at La Manga in 1986, beating many European Tour Players. |

Elspeth
played for the County ladies 1st team for 13 years between 1994 and 2007 and now plays for the County Senior Ladies team. She won the Berkshire County Ladies Championship in 2001. |
