Calcot Probationary Junior Club Handicap Procedure and Administration If the player is under 14 years of age then the cards may be for 6, 9 or 18 holes. For players over 14 years of age all 3 cards must be for 18 holes. Cards for gaining a handicap should be handed in to a Junior Organiser or put in the Probationary Juniors Competition Box in the Professionals Shop. They should be PROPERLY COMPLETED and CLEARLY MARKED as "CARD FOR HANDICAP". Properly completed means:- It must have Your Name, The Date and Your Gross Scores clearly written and be signed by both player and marker. When the third card has been submitted the Junior Handicap administrator will use the CONGU guidelines to compute the initial Club Handicap and issue the player with a certificate showing their Probationary Junior Club Handicap. To reduce a Junior Club Handicap: scorecards can be submitted from any Organised Competitions either at Calcot Park or at any other Golf Course other than a Par Three Course. If you have a card or the copy of a card to submit from a Competition at another course then you must have it countersigned by the Competition organiser and place it in the Box in the Professional’s Shop as soon as possible. When the scorecard is submitted, the Handicap Administrator will take it and apply the CONGU adjustment guidelines. If the computed score results in an improvement to the player’s current handicap, the player will be issued with an updated Probationary Junior Club Handicap Certificate. As soon as a player reaches the standard required to gain the maximum CONGU handicap (i.e. 28 for boys or 36 for girls), their Junior Club Handicap will become void and they will receive an official CONGU handicap and certificate from the Calcot Park Club Office. 18th May 2009 |
