Junior Rules & RegulationsThe Junior Section will comprise boys and girls aged between 10 and 18 years.  The Club Rules (with particular reference to Rules 18 and 18a), the Appendix and Competition Rules shall govern Junior Members and shall in the event of conflict take precedence over the Junior Section Rules and Regulations. Within these Rules and Regulations the Committee shall be the Executive Committee of the Club as defined in Rule 2.

There shall be three categories of membership, namely:
PROBATIONARY JUNIOR MEMBERS – Probationary membership may be offered at the discretion of the Committee. In order to progress, a Probationary Member may be required to take up to six lessons with the Club Professional and must submit three cards for handicap purposes. Probationary Members without a handicap must be accompanied on the course and practice areas by a Full Junior Member or an Adult member. They cannot sign in a visitor. JUNIOR MEMBERS
Members with a Club Handicap of 54 – 36/28 Can play only in Competitions for Juniors with Club Handicaps. In general play they must be accompanied at all times by a Full Junior or an Adult.

FULL JUNIOR MEMBERS (General Play)
Members with a Handicap of 28/36 and below. Have a right to play in any club match or competition as stated below and are entitled to invite up to 3 guests in accordance with those days they are permitted to play, on payment of the appropriate fees. Adult members may invite one Junior to play on an otherwise prohibited day without payment of a Green Fee.
In the Summer Full Junior Members may at the discretion of the Committee play unaccompanied by an Adult member after 4 pm on Saturdays and 3 pm on Sundays or they may take a vacant afternoon tee time if not taken by noon on that day to play with other full junior members.
In the Winter Juniors may book the day before to play on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with other full junior members.

FULL JUNIOR MEMBERS (Competition Play)
Members with a Handicap of 28 - 13
On Weekend Medal and Stableford Days they must wait until after 6 pm on the Wednesday preceding the Medal Weekend and play for handicap purposes only.
On Monday Medals or Stablefords they may put their name down to play for handicap purposes only after 2pm on the day before (Sunday) but not to play between 4 and 5pm (unless there is space on the day).
(Please state on the Starting Sheet that it is for Handicap Purposes)

FULL JUNIOR MEMBERS (Competition Play)
Members with a Handicap of 12 or under have the same standing as Full Members with the following differences:
(a) They may put their names only on the reserve list of the Tom Evans Foursomes.
(b) They may put their names down to play in Medal and Stableford Competitions. Providing they are accompanied by an Intermediate or Adult Member. Only one Junior per Tee Time.


FULL JUNIOR MEMBERS (Category 1) have the same standing as a Full Member. 

FEMALE JUNIOR MEMBERS are governed by the Ladies’ Committee.

THESE CONCESSIONS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY ON THE COURSE AND MUST ALWAYS BE CHECKED WITH THE PROFESSIONALS SHOP AND THE STARTING SHEETS.

ADULT MEMBERS HAVE PRIORITY AT ALL TIMES


Junior Competitions, Medals, Matches
All competitions will be played off those tees nominated for the competition.
Junior girls will play off the Red Tee markers and Junior Probationers with a Club Handicap will play off the Green Tee Markers.

Administration 
(a) The Committee shall have complete management and control of the Junior Section and all matters appertaining to the administration thereof shall be conducted through the offices of the Secretary/ Manager of the Club.
(b) The Committee shall appoint a Director in charge of juniors and/or an organiser, either of whom shall have the authority to recommend to the Committee all matters relating to this section.

Election of Members 
(a) Prospective Junior Members should have two Adult members as Sponsors and are subject to the provisions of Rules 8 and 9 of the Club Rules.
(b) Sponsors shall undertake to play a positive part in the golf development of their nominated junior by playing regularly with him/her and be responsible for their behaviour on and off the course.

Discipline
(a) Any disciplinary proceedings will be conducted in accordance with Club Rule 13.
(b) A Junior Member playing in less than four qualifying competitions in any one year may, subject to exceptional circumstances, have his/her membership terminated.

Etiquette
(a) All Juniors must comply with the ‘Rules of Golf’ Section 1.(b) All Junior Members must observe the correct starting times and keep to the recognized sequence of play.
(c) All Junior Members may use the Clubhouse in accordance with the Clubhouse Regulations. Under no circumstances are Junior Members permitted to purchase alcoholic liquor or play the gaming machine.
(d) Junior Members may use all the practice grounds available on the understanding that priority must be given to Adult members and the Professional and his staff.

Dress Code
For the enjoyment of everyone, please make sure that you adhere to the following dress code:

ON THE COURSE:

Golf Shoes (not golf sandals) must be worn with appropriate golfing attire.
For clarification:
Tailored shorts may be worn provided they are worn with either plain coloured knee length socks or predominately white socks.
Collared sleeveless shirts may be worn by ladies but not by gentlemen.
Turtle neck shirts designed specifically for golf are permitted.
Tracksuits, jackets, t-shirts, trainers, cargo/combat/cropped shorts/trousers may not be worn.
Men's shirts should be tucked into trousers/shorts at all times.

IN THE CLUBHOUSE & ON THE PATIO: 
In the casual bars (19th and TV) in the upper lounge and on the patio, golfing attire, as defined above, or smart casual wear may be worn in these areas at any time.
After 7pm, smart casual wear must be worn in the Restaurant (not clothes that you have played golf in).
For clarification:
Hats/caps or waterproof over trousers may not be worn inside the Clubhouse.
Men's shirts should be tucked in at all times.
Shoes/sandals must be worn at all times.
Clean soft spiked Golf Shoes may be worn in the 19th & TV Bar. Any Golf Shoe may be worn on the patio but NOT IN THE LOWER LOUNGE.
Polo shirts may not be worn in the Restaurant after 7pm.
Gentlemen do not have to wear socks providing their toes and heels are fully covered.
Blue denim of any description is not allowed to be worn at any time by either ladies or men.
Staff and Officers of the Club are authorised to politely approach visitors to request that they amend their dress or, alternatively, withdraw from the course or Clubhouse if the above dress code is breached.
