It would be an advantage if you have played a round of golf with either or both of your proposers, or a member of the Ladies’ Committee.

If you are wishing to join Calcot Park from another club and have an exact handicap of 35.9 or less, then, subject to interview, you would be offered full membership.
If you are wishing to join from another club with an exact handicap of 36, we will need to ascertain your standard of golf and take into account any lessons you may have had with Calcot Park’s Professional. If your standard of golf is found to be acceptable you would be offered 5 day membership.

If you have no official handicap and have not had lessons with our Professional, an assessment will be sought from the Professional as to your golfing ability. Your application for membership will be progressed only when the Professional considers that you have the ability to play golf and that you are aware of the rules and etiquette of golf.

Following the assessment, the Professional may advise that lessons should be taken with him.  If your standard of golf is found to be acceptable you would be offered, subject to interview, 5 day membership and be asked to submit three cards for handicap purposes within one year of being offered membership. These cards can be marked by anyone having a recognised handicap.

Until you have submitted the three cards, you will not eligible to play in any competitions. Once the three cards have been submitted to the Handicap Secretary you will be given an official handicap.

As soon as you submit a card, having played to 108 or less, you may be offered full membership.
