Calcot Juniors dominate Junior Golfer of the Year event

Calcot Park hosted the Thames Valley Junior Golf League Player of the Year competition today and the host team delivered some outstanding results.

The competition featured 8 teams from the TVJGL with each team comprising of 4 players. There were trophies for the best team score (best 3 scores from 4), best gross score and best nett score.

Supplementary prizes were up for grabs for nearest the pin, longest drive and neatest scorecard.

The Calcot Park team of Melan Dhaubhadel, Harry West, Josh Chapman and Nic Sullivan scooped the team prize with their joint best 3 scores of 15 under par a full 9 shots ahead of their nearest rivals Bearwood Lakes.

Nic Sullivan (nett 64) took the Nett trophy on countback from Josh Chapman whilst Melan Dhaubhadel was just pipped for the Gross trophy by Archie Smith from Bearwood Lakes who took the title on countback with both recording gross scores of 69.

All in all a great day for Calcot Park's Junior Section who can be justly proud of their efforts.

Thanks to the clubhouse staff for looking after us all and to the Greenkeeper's for presenting a course in outstanding condition!
