

The MEN'S 20 Section (19+)
Got a Handicap of 18.5 or more?
If your Handicap Index is 18.5 or higher at the start of the year, then you've got what it takes to join Calcot Park's 20 Section – plus a small annual fee. New members are always welcome to join the Section at any time, but there’s no time like the present. 14 matches are arranged against seven other clubs throughout the year. Everyone one of them a bit of fun; nothing too serious and always a splendid dinner afterwards.
Your chance to play at Reading, Sonning, Henley, Goring & Streatley, Newbury & Crookham, East Berks & Maidenhead Golf Clubs.
All 7-day Section members, can enter for our two major championships, the Nora Williams Rose Bowl and the 20 Section Championship (5-day members can also enter on payment of a green fee). Not forgetting the 20 Section Captain’s Day Competition, the evening of which brings forth more merriment with an evening Dinner and Cabaret entertainment for all members and their guests. In addition to these we also play a couple of friendly games with the Ladies and take on the might of the C Team.
During the autumn/winter months, the Jack Kingston Pairs, the Random Pairs and the Bert Williams Tankard knockout competitions are played for, in addition to the Chronicle Cup Singles Matchplay knockout.
How do you join? Simply put £5 in an envelope, write your name on it and place it in the 20 Section box, in the 19th Bar, and you’re in, for 12 months golfing fun, meeting new people and a having a lot of laughs.
